The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, like many other organizations, takes pause at this time of year to remember the reason for Christmas. More than a holiday, in a very real way Christmas reminds us of our relationship with Jesus Christ.
The First Presidency recently said, “Our prayer this Christmas season is that the light and testimony of the Savior's divine mission will come into our hearts and be reflected in our lives and in our homes.”

On 5 December 2010, the First Presidency offered their annual Christmas devotional from the Conference Center on Temple Square.
Temple Square welcomes tens of thousands of persons interested in viewing the lighting displays and nativity scenes.
Music from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is also present, from their annual Christmas concert, this year including guest artists David Archuleta and Michael York, to a special production of the Hallelujah chorus shared around the world through the wonders of YouTube.
Around the world, Latter-day Saints gather in churches, at community events to celebrate the birth of the Savior. From Washington, D.C.to Sydney, Australia, members share the light of the gospel and the central mission that we believe in Jesus Christ and are following him in our daily activities.
The following Mormon Messages video was produced by the Church to direct a fast-paced society to re-focus on the Light of the World:
