The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced changes to the presidencies of the Mexico and United States Southwest Areas as a result of the recent calling of a new Presiding Bishopric.
The following assignment changes are effective immediately:
- Bishop Sean Douglas has been released from serving as President of the Mexico Area.
- Elder José L. Alonso has been released from serving as President of the United States Southwest Area.
- Elder Michael A. Dunn has been released from serving as an Assistant Executive Director of the Church Communication Department and as a member of the Church Communication and International Coordinating Committees.
Mexico Area Presidency
- Elder Moisés Villanueva has been called to serve as President of the Mexico Area. Elders Jose L. Alonso and Brik V. Eyre will serve as his First and Second Counselors, respectively.
