DAVAO, Philippines — A Davao, Philippines, city councilor recognized The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ employment resource center in Davao for “the service and assistance it is giving to Dabawenyos and its contribution in creating a better business and investment landscape for the city."
The Davao center receives 200 to 300 visitors a month. The center offers training for careers and assists in job searches.
Employment centers are a part of the Church’s overall welfare effort to teach people how to provide for themselves.
