New Garment Style Announced for Mormon Women

Latter-day Saint women are now able to order sacred temple garments in a new stretch cotton fabric designed for increased comfort and a close fit. Beehive Clothing has announced that orders will be taken, beginning December 1, 2017, (hyperlink: store.lds.org/stretchcotton) for the new product that will be available at Distribution Services stores in the United States and Canada on February 20, 2018. Global distribution is expected by the end of 2018.

Temple garments are worn under normal clothing by worthy adult members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who have made sacred promises to God in temples.

The new stretch fabric is 95 percent cotton and 5 percent spandex, making the two-piece garment comfortable for a variety of body types and climates around the world. Other changes include a redesigned sleeve and labels printed directly on the fabric.

Other stretch cotton styles for women will include maternity, nursing and midcalf garments to be launched later in 2018. Stretch cotton garments for men are currently in development and are anticipated to be available in the future.

Garments will still be available in other fabrics, though some styles have been discontinued. For more details about the new stretch fabric or other garment products, go to store.lds.org/garmentchanges.
