SALT LAKE CITY — Today, President Gordon B. Hinckley celebrated his 96th birthday at Brigham Young University in Provo where he attended a groundbreaking ceremony for a new alumni and visitors center named in his honor.
Family, invited guests and university leaders hosted him at a private luncheon following the groundbreaking.
President Hinckley maintains a regular work schedule and recently traveled to Iowa City to participate in a commemorative fireside honoring Mormon handcart pioneers.
