President Uchtdorf Creates First Stake in Czech Republic

President Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints returned to the country of his birth on May 15, 2016, to create the first stake (a collection of local congregations) in the Czech Republic.

Hundreds of Latter-day Saints gathered at the Žofin Palace in Prague for a special worship service and sustained Martin Pilka as the first president of the Prague Stake.
